The BioMogo DNA cushioning in the midsole delivers maximum softness with a responsive underfoot feeling, plus durability. A full-length Segmented Crash Pad accommodates every heel strike action and enhances your heel to toe transition.

It isn’t the most plush shoe on the market, and its high drop may feel uncomfortable for some runners. But the Ghost does a great job of absorbing impact forces, and the footbed feels supportive—ideal for a day-to-day training shoe. Its upper is made with a breathable engineered mesh for good temperature regulation, and the shoe has a great overall fit: The midfoot is relatively wide, so it won’t constrict your feet. The padding around the collar creates a comfortable feel. Testers reported no issues with hot spots or rubbing. Overall, the Ghost 15 is an approachable, capable shoe that works well for a wide range of runners. I am sorry to hear you're havingtroublewith your running shoes. It is difficult for me to advise you on trainers without seeing your feet and the way you run.In our stores we offer customers Natural Gait Analysis to make sure they end up with comfortable running shoes which also suit their gait. If you can't come to one of our stores we offer Online Gait Analysis, which I think you would benefit from. After seeing you running we will be able to recommend some running shoes for you. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can do for you. Reply At this stage I am looking for mainly road running trainers, to be worn with or without (preferably) my insoles.A wide and plush tongue and collar help to give the shoe a snug fit without creating pressure points on your foot. In addition to its foams, Brooks has a key design feature called GuideRails for runners who need stability and support. GuideRails shoes have additional layers of firm, high-density foam on the medial and lateral sides of the midsole, which creates a bumper around your foot to keep it aligned in the shoe and counter overpronation. (When your foot rolls too far inward during your stride). Sorry, I missed this comment. Yes, if a bit of the big toe is missing, it's likely the foot will collapse inwards so you'll need a supportive running shoe. The Asics GT2000 is good but the last couple of versions haven't been as strong in the support as they used to be. It might be time to take a look at a different model. The GT1000 is coming out a bit stronger these days, although the fitting is a bit different. Or you could try a different brand, for example, the Brooks GTS. Are you able to make it into one of our stores so we can watch you run in a few different pairs and see which works the best and which you find most comfortable? Are you able to come into one of our stores and let us watch you run and try you in a few different options? From what you say, I would have thought the Ravenna would be a good option – it's nice and flexible so it will let you run comfortably on the forefoot, plus it's got some support to stop the slight pronation. Brooks makes some of the most popular running shoes on the market. Among those offerings are some great motion control shoes. Today, we review two of them: the Addiction and the Beast.

This straight-last shoe also has a full-length segmented crash pad that provides smooth heel-to-toe transitions.

Stability: A [Motion Control] ( Aggressively stiff heel/midfoot with large guide rails, sole flaring in heel and wide base) Thank you for your comment. Most of our customers are not aware that due to the Covid outbreak in Vietnam, where Brooks (and most othershoes) are made, production has been completely closed or reduced. Due to decreased production fewercolours or styles are available on the market. Unfortunately this trend is most likely going to continue and that is the reason you are having difficulty finding your favourite Brooks Ariel. Brooks organizes its road shoes into three categories: “Cushion,” “Energize,” and “Speed.” (The brand’s trail shoes technically fall into their own separate category, but they use the same midsole foams as the “Cushion” and “Energize” shoes.) The insoles in the support shoes are slightly shaped but they're just soft liners to add comfort, they don't actually support the foot. The support comes from the midsole of the shoe which is reinforced on the inside to hold the foot upright and prevent it from collapsing inwards. So you can take out the liner and put your insole in if you need to.

Inserted into the midsole is a Brooks DRB Accel reinforced plastic shank. This piece prevents twisting and provides torsional rigidity without compromising the forefoot and heel, allowing them to act independently. Bach: The Brooks Beast remains one of the last shoes in the market to provide an extremely high level of stability. It is a good shoe for embracing slow jogging along with stable walking. It's also as durable as can be. The Beast is definitely a niche shoe that runners who want stability should definitely try on first to see if it is too much or just right for their needs. Visit our stability guide to learn more about how you can determine that for yourself.Launched in 2010, DNA is a cushioning technology that is also present in most of Brooks’ running shoes. I have chronic Achilles problems and overpronation as well and I've used a variety of stability shoes in my time –currently Brooks GTSwhich I really love. Personally I prefer stability to motion control because they're lighter and more flexible –easier to move in –but if the pronation is very severe, you may need to go the motion control route. We are the running store and we sell only the running shoes. I can't advise you on any tennis shoes. Apologies for inconvenience. My last suggestion would be to consider adding a little more volume to the forefoot. I understand the prior version had some issues with creasing, but it is important that there is enough room in the forefoot, especially in such a stiff stability shoe. This should not be sloppy, but it would be helpful to not have the toe box taper so much for toe comfort. I have come to realize that I have severe overpronation due to being flat footed. When I run my feet role inwards from my heel. After running for 2 miles I start feeling soreness and discomfort from my heel to the middle of my feet. I'm not sure which running shoes are best for my issue. I really like the brooks adrenaline line; however, they're a bit heavy. Any suggestions?
