About this deal

This is one of those grab-your-popcorn novels, because it is a look into the salacious secrets that hide behind closed doors. If you struggle to suspend belief for any amount of time, you’ll most likely want to stay clear of this one. Playground is a compelling and relentless horror novel that showcases Aron Beauregard’s talent for delivering dark and boundary-pushing storytelling. Amidst the chaos and carnage, the children face unimaginable challenges and must confront their own fears and differences. Yes, the oblique, pressing light made the Playground seem deep, far away, and remote from his touching.

But parenting can be difficult especially if you weren’t parented well yourself - just a side comment - it may or may not have had anything to do with the story. Melissa is an interior decorator who lives her life very strictly and tries her best to stay out of Paul's way. Beauregard does a great job of showcasing the hurt that was created with Geraldine’s actions as well as how this directly impacted the various characters in the novel. All novels given here for educational and informational purposes to benefit site visitors, and is provided at no charge. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for someone who has never read Bradbury before, but if you're already familiar with his work, you will enjoy this.

She was shortlisted for the Janklow and Nesbit award and the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize for The Daughter, her first novel. Aron’s work is hard to describe because, yes, it is sick, twisted, brutal and extreme, but he is also a story teller. But what sort of playground games do you think might arise in a book about three couples and their secrets and deception?Bradbury takes the traditional viewpoint--that childhood is the best time of our lives--and flips this notion on its head, holding a mirror to the reader that says, "No, it isn't! It was just what I was in the mood for, and it kept me turning the pages to see how it was going to play out.

There’s just so much poor decision making and willful ignorance (and drinking) that it was hard to sympathize.Charles Underhill, seeking to protect his young son from the agonies of schoolyard bullying in the playground makes a deal with the playground's mysterious manager but only at the end discovers the true nature of the pact.

Over the last number of years, Aron Beauregard has emerged as one of Extreme/Splatterpunk Horror’s true Heavy Weights. Playground by Aron Beauregard is a chilling and intense horror novel that takes readers on a diabolical journey into the depths of a gothic castle. Three low-income families are offered a generous sum of money to bring their children to Geraldine Borden’s cliffside estate and test out her revolutionary playground equipment.

Oh what a tangled web of secrets are woven among three couples brought together by their kids, but held together by their actions… Until something shocking occurs… This is quite a book!
